Another day another romper… It’s no secret that I love rompers and I own quite a few. However, that doesn’t mean that they are easy to shop and style. They have their own challenges that every fashionista knows. A well-fitted romper just looks great and will get you lots of compliments. They can get tricky; if Don’t let the romper go wrong. Rompers are meant to be an easy and fun alternative for other outfits. You should just throw it on and have fun.
There are a few tips how to shop for the right romper:
1. Choose the right length for your romper
You need to choose the right length, unless you are going to the beach and you are just using your romper as a cover-up then forget it. Jumpsuits and rompers come in varying lengths and sizes. Taller women can get away with sweeping, floor-length pieces ( lucky!!) Petite women should stick to rompers that go above the knee. Show off your advantages and cover your imperfections. Rompers can do that!
2. Pay attention to sleeves.
Watch for the sleeves . Women who have shapely arms should go bare with halter top, sleeveless, or even Long-sleeved jumpsuits look elegant and classy, and can also hide some little imperfections ( we are all perfect by the way!)
3. When in doubt go for solid colors.
There is nothing wrong with prints and colorful jumpsuits but make sure they are flattering . The worst thing is to have a cool romper that doesn’t look great on you. Not everything that looks awesome on the hanger looks good on us. Single color lengthens your body, and creates a flattering profile. Small prints, a few splashes of color are good in moderation. It all depends on the occasion and how it looks. Sometimes prints accentuate some parts of the body, which is preferred in my case 🙂
4. It’s all about the fit
The right fit is essential when purchasing any piece of clothing, but even more so when it comes to rompers. When in doubt, a good rule when fitting jumpsuits, is to ensure the fabric remains loose and draped while hugging the waist nicely. Don’t buy a skin tight romper unless you are wearing it for Halloween or for your loved ones ( wink wink) It is also important to remember to check the lower parts fit. You don’t want to be uncomfortable and embarrassed about a romper giving you a wedge.
5. Give a romper a chance
We should try different things and take risks when it comes to dressing up and styling to find out what suits us best. Even though you may think rompers are not your thing give it a chance with the right one for your silhouette you will look amazing!
6. Choose good fabric rompers
Try not to buy jumpsuits made of clingy materials like polyester, spandex, or pleather. A jumpsuit should be loosely draped around the body. Fabrics like cotton and soft knitted jersey are some of the best types of materials for jumpsuits.
7. Accessorize your romper
Most fashion experts agree that every outfit should have some good accessories to finish the look. Romper itself can be the focal piece, and may need minimal accessories. It depends on the style and the occasion. Sometimes the more accessories the better. Be yourself.
I love accessorizing and my boho style romper felt only right with some cool jewelry. I mixed a headpiece that actually has been named after me ( you can get yours at http://tiadorojewelry.com/about/) and a hamsa body chain with oak rings and a handlet. I chose neutral color heels and a handbag because even though I think the more is better. Overdoing is never a good idea. Last but not least the vintage sunglasses that are just amazing and one of the kind! I am such a hippie and I love it 🙂
What about you? do you like rompers? Any thoughts on how to find the right one? How many do you own?
3. W razie wątpliwości wybierz romper w jednym kolorze
5. Daj szansę kombinezonowi
6. Wybieraj dobre materiały
