Balneario El Escambron  ( beach) is one of the most picturesque beaches in North Puerto Rico. It is protected by a coral reef with soft golden sand and perfectly landscaped with tall palm trees providing cozy shaded spots and giving that tropical vibe.

Escambron Beach is located in Puerta de Tierra within walking distance from Old San Juan and Condado. Here you can snorkel, scuba dive, take a romantic walk along the scenic oceanside trail or just chill on the beach. The city is vibrant, full of energy but once you get here, you’ll experience the relaxing and invigorating allure of this tropical city.

Here are 10 things that I like about Escambron Beach.

  1. The views. Beautiful views of not only the Ocean but also San Cristobal, Capitolio and San Juan. It is not a typical beach with water and sand. There is just a beautiful skyline and more to admire.

2. Snorkeling. There is a natural pool at the end of Escambron for snorkeling. Rumor has it there are sea turtles there but I have not been lucky yet to find them.

3. Iguanas. Let me tell you about them iguanas there! They are hugeeeee, colorful and everywhere…

4.The colors of water. Yes, they are unbelievable. Hard to describe you have to see it yourself.

 5. Fun water sports. You can do all types of water sports there. Such a great little beach for that!

 6. Park. There is a great park across the street from Escambron beach where you can relax with your family. There is always some type of festival or market here. Really great!

7. Palm trees. I love palm trees and they are very handsome and tall here. Not only look great but also give you that so much needed shade.

 8. Meditation class! Oh yeah, I am a master of finding random things but this one is a gem. Free guided meditation on Saturdays at 8.30 am and Tuesdays at 6.30

9. For the athletes, there is a beautiful running and bike path along the coast ( from Old San Juan to Escambron)  I walk and take pictures, it counts as a workout too right?

10. Lifeguard towers I just like that vibe! It reminds me of watching movies when I was younger. That Baywatch vibe!

If you ask me I love Escambron because is so close to Old San Juan, you can walk there and the walk is spectacular…

Balneario El Escambron (plaża) to jedna z najbardziej malowniczych plaż w północnej części Puerto Rico.

2. Nurkowanie.

3. Iguany. Pozwól, że opowiem ci o tych legwanach! Są ogromne, kolorowe i sa wszędzie …

4. Kolory wody. Tak, są niewiarygodne. Trudno to opisać, musisz to zobaczyć sam.

5. Sporty wodne

6. Park.

10. Odległosc.Jeśli zapytasz mnie, dlaczego uwielbiam Escambron, ponieważ jest tak blisko Starego Miasta, możesz tam dojsc pieszo, a spacer jest spektakularny … też lubię wieże ratownicze. Po prostu lubię ten klimat! Przypomina mi to oglądanie filmów, gdy byłam młodsza. Ten klimat Słonecznego Patrolu!
