Skirts: polleras http://www.vipvintagemarket.com/
Jewelry: various markets
I was walking around the Park and having fun in little beautiful polleras.I got lucky and got them and decided to rock them and results are pretty stunning. Hand made and produced in Peru by the amazing artists in Cusco. They are colorful and beautifully crafted. Skirts/Polleras are made from high quality fabrics and they are pleated which gives the Cholitas (women who wear the pollera) some “round” lookings.Which in Peruvian culture is the most attractive look. Peruvian women and girls dance in them during festivities. Well, I am a Polish girl living in Nyc and I love the look. Makes me look girly and feel fabulous. I really love the crafted patterns and all the colors. Most of the decorations are embroidered, flowers and regional animals are among the most common designs found in polleras. Today, polleras are associated with indigenous and folkloric forms of dress. You can get one from http://www.vipvintagemarket.com/ they are handmade in Peru from 100% Peruvian prime cotton and they are just adorable. They kinda remind me of traditional folkloric Polish skirts and clothes. You can still accessorize them with some bold details like hats, statement jewelry and some heels. Or just plain. The skirt becomes a focal point anyway and will definitely set you apart. In a pollera you will definitely attract an attention of not only cavalleros but everybody else.
