I love visiting many places and I find great pleasure in checking out places where the locals like to spend time. Cataño is a place mostly known for Bacardi Factory but there is more to it. Let me show you a little bit of “Prelude to capital” and a day in Cataño.

Cataño is known as a prelude of the capital because of its location across the bay from the capital Puerto Rico, the city of San Juan.

Cataño, located on the northern coast, within the Metropolitan Area is one of the localities which has best preserved and most jealously guarded the traditions and customs of life in the island.

A day in Cataño. First, take a short and very affordable ( 50 cents one way !!!!) Cataño ferry leaves daily every half hour(from 6 am to 10 pm). The ferry ride has very scenic views of Old San Juan and El Morro. I especially recommend taking it at the sunset. Priceless!!!  From the dock in Cataño, you can walk to a few bars and restaurants and a gallery. It is a beautiful walk along the shore overlooking San Juan. The promenade has a playground, Taino statue respecting Native Puerto Rican culture, lots of little spots and music and people enjoying themselves.

If you want something different than touristic and overcrowded places I recommend taking the ferry and spending a few hours on the Cataño side and feel more like locals and enjoy other things Puerto Rico and its culture can offer.

Fashion for a day in Cataño. Fashion for trips like that should be comfortable. Imagine getting on and off the boat and walking at the breezy promenade. I went for shorts and maxi embroidered vest that made me feel free and wonderful. The sparkly comfortable slippers were a hit not only for the looks but the comfort. Funky jewelry and accessories are always a great idea and my creative outlet.

Pokażę ci trochę „Wstępu do stolicy”.

Bezcenne!!!

Funky biżuteria i akcesoria to zawsze świetny pomysł i moje kreatywne ujście.
